| As a leading Idaho home builder, Ted Mason knows energy conservation is important and all of our homes are now EnergyStar certified. EnergyStar certification is an important goal for builders to show their commitment to energy efficiency. To date, more than 5,000 home builders have partnered with EPA to construct more than 1 million Energy Star homes nationwide. By the end of the decade, more than 2 million homes are expected to earn Energy Star.
EnergyStar’s extra requirements ensure our professionally built homes will meet the highest standards of efficiency. As with other home systems, our Energy Star features are covered under our three-year warranty, the longest of any Boise builder. Compared with standard homes, Energy Star homes use less energy for heating, cooling, and water heating-delivering 30-35% in annual savings. Over the years you may live in your home, this adds up to thousands of dollars saved on utility bills.
